India marking its most successful Paralympic outing in 2024 edition of paralympics. This performance secured India the 18th spot on the points table. Meanwhile, Pakistan ended joint-bottom at 79th place, earning just one bronze.

India performed exceptionally well in the 2024 campaign, surpassing top nations like Switzerland, Belgium, South Korea, Turkey, and Argentina to secure a spot in the top 20 at the Paris Paralympic Games.

While traditional Paralympic powerhouses like China, Great Britain, the USA, and Italy once again dominated the top 10, India made significant strides in Paris. With its impressive performance, India will be eager to raise the bar even higher at the 2028 LA Paralympic Games

On Saturday, India claimed its 29th and final medal at the Paris Paralympic Games, as Navdeep Singh won gold in the men’s javelin throw F41 classification.

Competing in the category for athletes of short stature, Navdeep initially secured silver but later overtook China’s world record holder, Sun Pengxiang, with a stunning 47.32m throw to clinch the gold.

For Navdeep, winning the gold in Paris is a gratifying redemption after the heartbreak of finishing fourth at the Tokyo Games.

Navdeep has earned five national-level medals since he began competing in the sport in 2017. Earlier this year, he also secured a bronze medal at the Para World Championships.
