Time Magazine released 1000 best companies 2024 around the world. In this list Apple is at the top of list as best company in the world. HCL tech stands as top among Indian companies in the list.
How Time and Statista Identified these world’s 1000 best companies:
During the early days of the pandemic, many employers focused on keeping workers happy. However, once quarantine eased and investor pressure grew, this priority shifted for most companies. Despite this, companies like Apple, Microsoft, and BMW continue to invest in employee happiness. This focus placed them at the top of a new ranking of the World’s Best Companies by Statista and TIME. The ranking considered employee satisfaction surveys, revenue growth, and environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) data.
Microsoft ranked third overall and second in employee satisfaction, just behind Alphabet. The company aims to ensure employees feel energized and empowered to do meaningful work. This approach seems effective, as Microsoft’s revenue grew by 22%, reaching $88 billion in the latest fiscal year. Apple also earned high employee satisfaction, ranking fourth, and topped the ESG ratings. The company aims to be carbon neutral by 2030 and achieved gender equality on its board in early 2024. BMW and Accenture also performed well, with Accenture finishing second overall under the leadership of CEO Julie Sweet.
